Book stores extend the Fern Hill legacy
Park Avenue Books opens in 2003
Linda Howell of Linda's Books and Fern Hill Books, and long time good buddy and rival Diana Brown, owner of Boomerang Books in Tacoma, had the chance to acquire larger, desirable retail space and have now combined their bookseller inventories.
The result is Park Avenue Books at 8304 Park Avenue, Tacoma, Washington, 98408. They had not even begun to unpack from the move and the public poured in - hungry readers in search of books to buy and neighborhood folks cheering
them on. "Way to go" - Linda and Diana!

Linda Howell opened her second bookstore in 2002, and gave it the name Fern Hill Books. Almost before the shelves were full and things got into full swing - another opportunity came along and Park Avenue Books was born in 2003.
